Introduction of Geumsunsa Buddhist Temple:

Geumsunsa Temple is a 600-year-old Buddhist temple situated in Bukhansan National Park, is within easy access from downtown Seoul. The temple is placed in a valley surrounded by beautiful mountain rocks and green pine forest. During your overnight stay at the temple, you have the opportunity to practice Buddhist chanting, bell ringing and meditation; enjoy a monastic meal; converse with a monk over tea; and engage in communal work.

Korea Temple Stay Experience Package includes:
- 1 Night Stay at Geumsunsa Temple (Sharing a big room with everyone, and the rooms are separated by women and men)
- One-Way Guide Service (Guide will pick up guest at hotel,and bring them to take the public bus heading to the temple)

Recommended to bring
Shower accessories, towel, pajamas, a change of clothes and walking shoes, personal cup...etc
- It's cold in the morning and evening times, please bring T-shirt and cardigan or coat, muffler, participants can put the training uniform on.

- Select a weekday templestay if you prefer more free time to hike around beautiful Mt Bukhansan - Weekday templestay Operating days: Sunday – Friday
- Select a weekend templestay if you’d like to follow the monks’ rigorous schedule (Weekend templestay is always fully booked, suggest to book earlier.
- Weekend templestay Operating days: Saturday
- If you want to have a talk with a monk over a cup of tea, please let the temple know in advance.
- Above Schedule is for reference only, it could be changed due to the weather or temple situation.
- On second day, guest can take taxi or public bus and return to hotel.

● Ye-bool (Buddhist Ceremony)
This ceremony includes meaning showing respect to the Buddha and reflecting on your practice. You could feel that your mind becomes calm even only listening to the One-minded chanting of rhythm and a pure voice.
● Striking the Bell
The bell serves to focus a follower's attention, bringing it out of future worries or pulling it away from past concerns.
● Baru-gongyang (Formal monastic meal)
Traditional meal style for practioners, monks and nuns in a Buddhist monastry. During this meal, you need to keep in your mind ; not to waste food, even a small particle. Purity, thrift, and equality to evenly share the same food as everyone, appreciation for all the people worked to produce and bring the food in front of you.
● 108 Prostrations
Prostration is a common practicing way in Buddhism, to repent the 108 kinds of delusions, to pray for hopes and dreams, to change negative thoughts to positive energy. Besides It will be a opportunity learning about humble mind.
